Welcome to the Respect Life chapter of St. Sebastian Catholic Parish! We are a dedicated group of individuals committed to promoting the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death. Our mission is to foster a culture of love and support within our community by providing FREE resources such as pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and layette items at the Respect Life offices, a ministry of the Archdiocese of Miami. Our Respect Life chapter is inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Gospel of Life. We believe that every person is a unique and unrepeatable gift from God. We invite you to join us in our mission to build a culture of life, and to learn more about the various ways you can get involved. Together, we can make a difference in our community and in the world, as we strive to protect and cherish the inherent dignity of each human being.

OCTOBER RESPECT LIFE MONTH
Bassinet is placed in front of the lectern during the entire month.
Bulletin announcements invite parishioners to donate layette items for the Respect Life Ministry.
- Sat, Oct 4, 9am-5pm Culture of Life State Conference, Bishop McCarthy High School, 5451 South Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches 33330. $99 includes snacks & lunch; hosted by Miami Archdiocese. Registration deadline is October 1.
- Sun, Oct 5, 2-3 pm Life Chain on University Drive in Broward County. Stand in public to witness to sanctity of life. Signs are provided. Parishioners meet at 1:30 to carpool from St Sebastian to St. David, 3900 S. University Drive.
- Sat, Oct 11, 12 noon Rosary Rally for Life led by Council of Catholic Women at Our Lady Star of the Sea mosaic on north side of church. Programs are provided. Bring a folding chair and water. Commemorating the anniversary of Mary’s final apparition in Fatima and the miracle of the sun.
- Wed, Oct 15, 5:30 pm Red Mass at St Anthony, 201 NE 9th Av with Archbishop Wenski. Special liturgy for government officials, judges and attorneys. Red vestments signify the fire of the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
2026
- Fri, Jan 5, 9:00 am SSCCW general meeting: Baby Shower theme and Respect Life speaker.
- February 10-12 Catholic Days at the Capitol (CDAC). Lobby trip to Tallahassee sponsored by Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops. Red Mass at the Co-Cathedral Wednesday evening. $300+; registration begins in December.
- May 9 Rosary Rally for Life at mosaic. Mary’s 1st apparition at Fatima.
